High School Rugby
Madison United Rugby (MUR) is home to six High School clubs representing schools across the Madison area in both boys and girls competitions. High school teams compete in both 7s and 15s rugby in league competitions and tournament formats.
Boys 15s
Boys 15-a-side rugby season takes place in Spring. There are several clubs across the Madison area offering rugby opportunities to different catchment areas.
Boys 7s
Boys 7-a-side rugby season takes place in Spring and Summer with tournaments across the state.
Girls Rugby
Girls rugby in Wisconsin is played with a 15-a-side league season in Fall and a 7s league season in Spring. Tournaments for both codes also occur locally and nationally.

Middleton Area Rugby
MRC re-identified as Middleton Area Rugby Club in 2015, in order to reflect the changing numbers of players from schools other than Middleton High School, namely James Madison Memorial High School, and Waunakee. In fall 2016, MARC began play in the inaugural season of Wisco 7s.

Oregon / Stoughton
The Oregon Rugby Club is one of the newest member of Madison United Rugby and has joined the dynamic Badgerland Rugby Conference. Started in 2013, the team is based in Oregon, WI, located just south of Madison. The club supports rugby players from Oregon, Stoughton, West and surrounding schools

The Eastside Exiles Rugby Club is a co-op rugby club recruIting in Madison, Sun Prairie, Deforest, Monona Grove, and McFarland. Rugby is a community, team, and character building club sport. Our board and staff embrace the values of rugby and are dedicated to growing our players beyond athletics.

Verona Area Rugby
Spring 2025 was the inaugural season for VARC, who are closely tied and operate under the umbrella of club sport opportunities at Verona High School. Their reach and recruiting efforts are additionally focused on Verona, Fitchburg, Mount Horeb and the surrounding areas.

Great Danes
The Great Danes are a 7s specific Summer program in Dane County, providing opportunity to local high schoolers in Southern Wisconsin between the months of June and August.

Madtown Furies
The Madtown Furies are Dane County’s only girls high school rugby team and were founded in 2015. Playing a Fall 15s season and a Spring 7s season, the team also compete in tournaments locally and regionally.
All girls from South Central Wisconsin are welcome to come out and play for the Madtown Furies
