Madison United Rugby (MUR) is home to two Collegiate clubs each of which are student club organizations at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
University of Wisconsin Men's Rugby
The Wisconsin Rugby Football Club was founded in 1962 by collegiate students, alumni, and Madison residents. This club proved to be one of the most successful teams in the midwest during the 60s and early 70s. In 1977 the University side split from WRC and the present day University of Wisconsin RFC came into being- a team comprised entirely of UW undergrads.
University of Wisconsin Women's Rugby
The Women’s Rugby Football Club at UW-Madison plays a competitive fall season against various DI colleges in the Midwest and a spring season in which we attend tournaments across the country. We always welcome new players. No experience is necessary!
